Po river

Description

The Po is the longest river in Italy.

It flows eastwards across northern Italy starting from the Alps.

The river’s length is either 652 km and as it approaches the mouth it also becomes very wide, as in this view (about 550mt) taken at the height of my hometown, Ferrara.

It’s discharge is impressive, from an average of 1540 to a max of 3100 m3/s.
